What this site collects

What you send me on purpose

The forms on this site collect what you type: usually a name and an email, sometimes a phone number, a budget range, a timeline, or notes about what you are looking for. The adult family home tool also records the address you enter and the answers you give about the house, because without them the read I send back would be meaningless.

Form submissions are handled by Netlify, who host this site, and they reach me by email. I use them to reply to you and, if you asked for it, to send the weekly list. I do not sell them, share them with advertisers, or hand them to lead brokers.

Every email I send has an unsubscribe link. If you would rather I deleted everything I hold on you, ask and I will, and you do not have to give a reason.

What gets collected automatically

Two tools, both third-party, both used for the same reason: I cannot tell which parts of this site are useful without them.

Google Analytics 4 records which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are (city level, from the IP address, which it then discards), what brought them here, and which buttons and forms get used. It sets cookies. Google publishes its own account of what it does with the data.

Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used: scrolling, clicking, and a replay of the session as a diagram of mouse movement and page structure. It is not video and it is not your camera or microphone. Clarity masks text input by default, so what you type into a form is not captured in the replay. Microsoft describes it in their privacy statement.

I look at these to answer questions like whether anyone finishes the conversion tool and where they stop if they do not. That is the whole use.

Tapping the phone number

If you tap the phone number on a page, the site records that a call was started, along with the page you were on. It does not record the call, and it does not capture your number: your phone dials, and all I learn is that somebody on that page decided to ring. Without it a tap is invisible to me, which on a phone is where most of the genuinely interested people are.

Adult family homes

Parts of this site are about adult family homes, which are licensed care homes. Nothing here is treated as health information, and I do not ask for any. If you write something about a family member in a form, it reaches my inbox and nowhere else, and it is not used for advertising or shared with anyone.

Turning it off

Your browser can block cookies or send Do Not Track, and both tools respect the browser-level controls they support. Google publishes a Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking either one changes nothing about how this site works for you: no part of it is gated on being measured.
